The band toured Boston's club circuit . They were directed by Frank Connelly their first manager. The group then began to collaborate together with Steve Leber, David Krebs, New York managers. In 1972 they signed a record contract and released their debut album. The album was later followed by Get Your Wings, Toys in the Attic, Rocks, and Draw the Line, which brought Aerosmith to fame internationally and recognition. The albums that inspired them were the basis of iconic hits like "Dream on", Walk This Way, and "Sweet Emotion". Aerosmith's first five albums were multi-platinum. Toys in the Attic and Rocks are regarded as among the top albums of hard rock ever. But, as the decade progressed the hectic lifestyle of recording, touring, being together, and taking drugs started to take its toll on the group.
