Dakota Blue Richards is an English actress who is best known for her role as Lyra Belacqua in the movie 'The Golden Compass' and Franky Fitzgerald as part of the third generation of cast members in British teen drama "Skins'. The actress has also been engaged on stage and has performed in stage productions of plays such as "Arcadia" as well as 'A Streetcar Named Desire'. Richards is a native of London who grew in Sussex. There were some lessons in drama at her school, however most of the acting lessons were offered on the weekends. She stayed home to go on auditions. It was her debut as an actress. Richards was well-respected for her performance, even it received an unpopular response. Her debut on television came following year, in a film called 'Dustbin Baby.
